You shouldn't have to remove the airpump to remove the turbo inlet duct. You just loosen the hose clamp attaching it to the turbo and pull.
BTW, you can use a 1/4" nut driver or socket on the hose clamp - may be easier to get in there than with a screwdriver.

the air pump can be removed pretty easily, but it might cause the water pump to slip since it'll only have one belt on it. Here's what I did, and most of the guys have probably done...
Take the air pump and belt off. Block off all the air lines going to the pump and make sure there aren't any air leaks. Get a dual sheave pulley (maybe mazdatrix? I forget where I got it) and put that on your alternator. Now you just need to buy two new belts (to make sure they're both close to the EXACT same length for tensioning reasons) and put them around the alternator and water pump. That's all my belts go around, but I'm not sure what else you may be driving off that pulley. It's also an underdrive pulley for your alternator, so if you're running alot of stuff from it, you might wanna upgrade the alternator too. Good luck, and any other questions can probably be answered here too.

No, you cannt move the airpump, at least not without some major changes. Just do what I did: zip-tie or use a piece of wire to make the TID "bend" a little and clear the airpump pulley....
