Throttlebody mod

Anyone know anything about this?
I drive an 87 TII. Does it even apply to me? What gains are involved? I've heard some people mention it now and again. Does it get rid of the fast idle cam? How driveable will it be, considering it's a summertime daily driver and has to pass emissions? (until 2007 anyway)

check out www.k2rd.com - in the mods section I think, there is a writeup with pictures. You are getting ridding of the coolant line going through your throttle-body your fast-idle warmup thingy, and the secondary throttle plates. Shouldn't effect emissions...gives your car better throttle response, maybe more overall airflow..quicker boost. It shouldn't affect driveability too much..the secondary throttle plates are only for smoothening the airflow, so throttle changes might feel a little more abrupt. No biggy though.
