Throttle sticking?!

Ok I have recently been noticing that sometimes I will take my foot off the gas and then go to accelerate and then it fells like theres nothing there and then all of the sudden it will kick in and jerk the car. It fells like the throttle is sticking or something but thats noth the problem. What do you all think could be causing this, some things i'm thinking of are a bad tps sensor or a clogged gas filter sock in the tank.

The most common stuck throttle is from the lame OEM floor mats. If you still have a driver's floor mat, remove it and see if the problem goes away.

I think he's talking more about some form of hesitation, Mark, but it's hard to tell...

Yeh, check your TPS

Yeah i don't mean the throttle is actually sticking but you know I go to hit the gas and theres nothing there.

One reason I'm thining that it might be a problem with the tps is when i'm watching the Throttle on the SAFCII that it doesn't move when I hit the gas.

basically it will be like this Will floor the car it will say 100% go to shift to second says 0% then go to thit the gas it will hesitate and o nothing and be stuck at like 6% or something liek that and then kick back in and say 100% again.

Haha, it's funny that Icemark mentioned that, I fixed my sticky throttle problem by ditching the driver's side floor mat.

how can you clean the tps without breaking it, haha I don't like touching anything on the car that is plastic and been in contact with heat for the last 16, like interior and plastic parts in motor bay.

Yeah I'm going to check it tomorow and see what it shows, i have about 3 more TPS sensors lieing around here that I'm going to check out also. I'm also getting another TPS sensor that is used but its in really good shape so hopefully this will solve my problem as it starting to **** me off since it was doing it all tonight.
