throttle body shaft's leak

all of my shafts leak can i get replacement bushings?

it causes my motor to idel then die so its a pretty bad vac leak.
i have another TB ill have to clean up and see if it leaks to.

at 5 psi my vacum hose's for the fpr and pressure sensor leak.
im using generic vaccum line am i supposed to get ting clamps or is there different vacum lines i can get.

thanks
chris.

It's likely the bushings are of standard size, so while Mazda may not carry them, a bearing supplier would. But you would need to bring the old ones in. What is probably leaking is the o-ring that seals the shaft. You can get a replacement at any hydraulic store but again, I don't know if the size is known. You'll probably have to bring in the old one.

disasembled the throttle body today now i can take the seals and compare with others. im guessing a o ring wont work as it apears to be a double type seal inside and out.

has anyone replaced there seals before? if so what did you get away with?
anyone know the oem size of the seal ill have to messure the shat and inside bore.

mazda supplys nothing for the throttle body i priced a TB up for fun. price tag was $2400 haha werido's

get an unmodified used one. that is not a common failure, and if you value your sanity you won't play guessing games with aftermarket seals. it'll be easier to just get another one.

If there's a number on the seal, a bearing/seal supply house can probably fix you up.

$2400 for the TB

I just found the Bill Of sale for Mine 1986 Tubo (aug87) and the price was $24000. SOooooooooooooooooooooo 10 percent of my cars price is just for the throttle body.

Rrrriiight

So the bronze bushing come out. That woulda made powder coating a little bit easier.

I forgot about the double seal. It would still be worth it to take it to a hydraulic shop. You never know. There are also seal companies that will make you any seal but at that point, the cost is probably higher then a good used throttle body.

Whats funny is that when mine was new a TB probably cost $2000 and the TPS was proably $300. Damn Dealers...

How did you find out that there are seals in the TB? I've been playing with mine all weekend (cleaning one, rebuilding another) and I cant see any sign that the bearings even come out.

i took it all apart.
there is no bearings just the double sided seals i used a tiny pick to get them out.. i cleaned it up and put it together in the end only 2 seals leaks and its very faintly pretty good inprovment from 4 leaking madley.but not good enough.

i replaced all my vac lines with 7/64 so now there all snug and dont leak.yay
but i also noticed that the metal casing for the diapram on the fpr is leaking looks like i will have to fix/replace it what aftermarket fpr can i use to replace it. without doing major an- fittings etc.

so if any one has a s4 t2 tb that dosnt leak pm me..
