throttle body coolant hose

I remember way back when, on my Camaro I bypassed the throttle body coolant hose. this is a common mod on them.

Can I do the same thing on my 7?
with the hose bypassing the throttle body the air temp going into the engine is cooler.

Just a thought

I don't know why people do this. It just makes your car idle worse when cold. I had mine removed and put it back.

the coolant operates a mechanical fast idle system (thermowax) which opens the throttle plates when the engine is cold, so that it can idle at 1500 rpm, then step down to ~1200, then 750 warm. When you remove that, the car is prone to stalling until it is near operating temperature. It's a pain, even in the summer honestly. You either have to raise the warm idle or keep your foot on the gas when the car starts. It's especially annoying when you want somebody else to drive your car and they're like "wtf is wrong with this thing." I still have the coolant hose on my 386rwhp Turbo II...
