throttle body comparison.....

Does anyone in here know if the throttle bodies from an FC and FD are the same? They sure look the same in pics. If thats the case, then my next mod will be easy as pie, and cheaper too boot!

Not even close. The single throttle plates are the same between the two but the two that are side by side are much larger on the fd. Bolt patterns aren't even close. The fd tb is just plain larger...much larger. It would take some manifold grinding and rewelding to make it work.

Not to mention the FD TPS setup is different, there's no provision for a mechanical oil metering pump, the throttle and cruise cable hookups are different...
