Throttle body bent shaft and rebuilt
Hi all,
When I TII swapped my 86 I encountered a weird situation where the car would lean out at a certain throttle position when off boost. I've checked every thing I could, searched and researched on the forum and internet and did'nt find anything that could be related to the issue.
Recently I found out that my main throttle shaft is bent and tought that this could have ripped the bushing that seal it. Now I wonder if unmetered air could get in when in vacuum and cause the lean issue ?
Anyway, I wanted to know if someone already did a removal of the throttle shaft to replace the bushings in there ? Or if anyone have tips on the matter.
Thanks,
Jean-Marc

The last I had read on the matter is that no one has found a suitable replacement seal. If it has been done, I have no seen it documented nor a source provided. They're so cheap, just buy a replacement off the classifieds.

I came across the same issue on my S5 N/A but I just got another TB.
The car would idle at different speeds every time..no matter if you set the idle it would idle different after you cracked the throttle again or went on a run.
Your issue?..it would have to leak pretty bad in order to adjust the AFR's on your tune.I can see maybe a Point or so but not a big difference in reading..unless that seal was totally non existant.

What leaded me to think that the throttle might be the problem is that the car boost fine, idle is mostly fine but at a certain position it does that.
Here's a video I took when driving:
