Throttle Body Aftermath

I've just done the throttle body mod with the 'port and polish'. When I decelerate with the gear in, I have poping noises and it makes my car jolt a little. Is this just backfire? Or could it be detonation when the fuel stops flowing for 0% throttle and deceleration?

I adjusted my Tps, and idle speed twice already.
Maybe I should reset my ecu too...

I can't stop the popping...
What is it, backfire?
It happens from 4000 rpm down when decelerating..

if you removed the plunger thingie/diaphram thinger, it had afterburn prevention... if you removed it, what do you expect: afterburn

Where is the valve?
Does it go to the throttle body?

Plunger as in dashpot?
Because I didn't remove that, I only re-routed coolant lines and reamoved secondary throttle plates and the actuator.

did you remove the secondary plates? The dashpot works the sedonary plates so if they aren't there and you left the dashpot, theirs no point.

No..
Dashpot is what keeps the throttle from snapping close.
That isn't the problem anyway.

Lol!! This is good stuff...

dashpots keep the throttles from snapping closed. They wont cause random popping, etc on decel. And fuel never stops flowing, even at 0% throttle.

Do these random pops really shake the car?

Highly unlikely.. Detonation generally occurs under load... what are your mods?

lol
Yep, its not in use yet..
=\
I'm stumped...
It might be the adjustment of the dashpot.
The tb I put in was from another car so all I did was swap it. Would it be the dashpot because I know it is set so it is activated earlier than the one on my car previously...

I doubt that theory but I'm out of ideas..

When you let off the gas the fuel injectors are cut.
