Regardless of the stickers and such, I bet that thing will burn some rubber. At least the stickers are in the engine bay instead of plastered all over the exterior of the car. It really does not look too bad. Heh...

The exterior looks ricey as hell and that 350 the best way to kill the spirit of the rx7, take away what makes it unique and throw in ordinary. that car is a joke in my book.

I disagree... I am not one of those people that thinks you have to keep a rotary engine in the RX-7. If it is done tastefully, which for the most part it is, then okay. Different strokes for different folks and that is all I have to say.

I don't like how it looks, and I don't like the v8 in the rx7, but I've gotta say: They did one hell of a professional job on it. I just wish they put that much skill, effort, and money into a 20B conversion.

it does look ricey as hell. And personally i think it does think it takes away from the rx-7 spirit, but keep in mind that is no 350, its a 406. I have a 406 in my drag car. Off the shelf parts has netted me high 11's on pump gas off of the bottle, in street trim. Total i've got about $2800 in the engine. THat is with 3700lb mullet mobile monte carlo. He does have stock cylinder heads i can tell from the picture, but with stock heads i ran 13.50's. Imagine what that car would do in a 2700lb 7. Well maybe 2850 after all of the ricer regalia. It would be humbling to see him pass you sideways engulfed in a cloud of smoke. But damn thats an ugly car. Also notice the bracket on the driver side of the engine, That is for a Centrigugal supercharger.

407 small block? and why does he have a boost gauge if he doesnt have a turbo. Also read his parts list. he doesnt really have a high performance V8. The only thing working for him is the roller rockers and maybe the headers, but theyre not even a brand i'd trust. Plus he doesnt list the compression on the pistons, so for all anyone knows he's running 10:1 or lower, which wouldnt shock me. I'm personally a big fan of V8 swaps into any car, but i dont like that one, and i beleive it was done for more show and less performance, which equals useless in my book

The boost guage is probably from the charger that he took off. That says bad things about the probable condition of the engine.

Its the big *** bracket that is bolted to the driver side cylinder head. Are you being sarcastic about the 407 small block. 400 small block simply bored .030 over. Your actually more correct it comes out to be like 406.8" but most people call them 406's even though they are closer to 407. Currently you can get 440c.i. out of a production small block 400, With a longer stroke crank of course. I ran 13.50's in a 3700lb car with a stock bottom ended 400 with 8:1 compression, stock heads, a mild cam, dual plane intake and a holley dp. I'd bet that car would run at least 13's. I did not originally post to sound more informed than everyone else like most people on this board do, however i wanted to simply give people another way of looking at it. Aside from that i do agree with most of what you said, about it being for show. To each his own have a good one man.

Why yes, yes i was It usually goes by 406. I'm personally a 350 fan myself though. And i can see 13's out of a lower compression pistons, but i figure if youre building a performance machine, might as well up it for the significant gains. I run 11:1. It requires a bit more money in fuel, but its worth the power.

Damn, It is very refreshing to hear you say that. I thought you were just one of those guys that talks in 1970's performance lingo, you know 3/4's cam, high-rise intake, 4 barrel. 350's are the shiot, but man it is pretty cool to have a small block that has more cubes than some big blocks. My new combo has like 10.3:1 compression, flat top JE piston, with 72cc dart head. It will run on pump gas all day long thanks to the cams duration. higer compression would be good but the bottle more than makes up for that.
