For those who used RX-8 E-shaft ...

I know you should(need to?) use Rx-8's Stationary gear, cuz first off its a bargain/cheaper, 2nd is that its harden for higher rpm operation so it should last longer.

Some question tho, if you use RX-8's e-shaft, do you need to use it with RX-8's related parts for example the thrust plate/spacer/etc as well ?

The reason I ask is that because when you look at the parts page, they show completely different parts, like the rigid key, its a different part number than a 1989-1991 one. Just wonder if it's the same (or if it would work using old parts)

Next is the Rear Stationary gear Oil O-Ring groove, The rx-8's stationary gear has none because its on the housing. People said just use Hylomar or just put some silicone. Do I just put a layer around the same are where the O-Ring original sits at? if yes then how well does it hold up ? anybody tried it before ?

thx.
