For those with speakers in the doors

I attempted to put some new 6.5 speakers in today but was surprised to find the passenger side has the hole and driver side doesn't? Did you have a shop make a hole for the speaker or is there supposed to be one there already? Thanks. Sean

Hmmm the shop did mine but I had speakers there from the factory in my 87 TII. The shop just made a custon fiberglass middle section for proper imaging.

The drivers door on your car was replaced with a 86 or 87 model year door.

On those years I typically silicon glue and pop rivet in an 1/8th inch thick aluminum panel where the 88+ speaker goes/can go, then cut out the correct size opening with a hole saw or air saw.
