brake light comes on when I step on brakes!

The square little brakes light (red) warning light on the center display panel keeps coming on everytime I step on the brakes. I was wondering if I should be concerned or NOT? I know those lights up in the panel go screwy sometimes...the BRAKES WORK great, nothing has changed, so why is that LIGHT coming ON now?

You have a brake light out. change it.
chech your "Third" brake light first.
Second thought just have someone step on the brake pedal while you look and see

You might want to peek at your brake master reservior - it might be low enough to trigger the light only when you use your brakes.

yeah check your resivoir. Mine was doing weird crap when I would accelerate the light would come on and when I would decel it would go out. I thought it was the switch in the handbrake but it turned out I was leaking fluid from my abs box, and the fluid level was right on the border of when the sensor starts to complain, so it would slosh on brake and accel and trigger it. If your fluid is low, check your abs box, it's probably leaking (piece of crap!)

Mine has done that on two occasions.

1) Brake bulb burnt out.
2) Bad ground on a relay to the brake lights.

yup, either:

1 bulb bad on rear lights,
parking brake cable sensor, or
low brake fluid..
