For those with Idle woes

I had this terrible problem with my idle after swapping in a ported throttlebody, the sucker wouldn't idle without giving it some gas (and holding the gas). I was freaking out, black smoke coming out of my tail pipes (rich!), everything sounded funny. I was already counting my money and planning for a rebuild. The idle adjust screw wasn't effecting anything, pulled out and checked plugs, they were fine, sprayed off battery, reset ecu, nothing helped. Then I started farting with the nuts that hold the throttle cable in place (which was messed with to remove throttle cable) and voila! 2500rpm idle, granted it was a little high, it was soon tuned down to the satisfaction of her owner.

All those with the high idle who worry about smog, try this!
