I dunno about the vinyl idea, but knight1976 had a great Idea to shave it. That will look much better. Ive got my emblems and such shaved and the s4 painted tails. All I need is to shave that and It will be the cleanest back end ever. I think less is more when it comes to cars.

i don't think the 3rd brake light was in the japanese plans. it was added stateside it sounds like. "More conventional two-piece lamps were selected in the final design. The model also had the new U.S.-mandatory high-mount braking light." -RX-7, Jack Yamaguchi; pg. 108
i have always wanted a cut out that said "BRAKE" on the brake light. subtle, but says so much. hadn't thought about it in awhile, though. there's certain laws reguarding all your lights. you can look them up for whatever your area. whoever made the comment about being in an accident made a good point. wouldn't want a minor technicality costin ya.

This is a fine idea... Just be sure to put really bright bulbs behind the stencil so its still bright, and you can see the stencil better

I wana see a pic, sounds like a good idea, i know i few people that have done it, only on other cars. And as far as the cop situation goes. As it seems to me is that it is one of those laws that are like j-walking, yeah its illegal, but enless your being a jack *** and point it out to the cop you just gave the finger to, than your fine. plus, if you do it right it could probably look stock, to a none rx7 enthusiest.

why stop there ?

make a CF cut-out with "MOVE OVER" backwards for the front headlights like this:

"REVO""EOVM"

so when the dope in front of you that is going 10mph below the speed limit looks in his rear-view mirror, he should figure it out..

I think it would be sweet to cut RX-7 out of a piece of sheetmetal and smooth it into the body so that the light shown through where the letters used to be.

Maybe when I paint mine....

that's real nice, even looks stock. as for the cop situation, its like not having a front license plate (Texas law). you most likely won't get a ticket, but as far as wrecks go, it could be an arguement against you that could've been avoided. just somethin for people to think about first, thats all.

If you guys would like I could make anyone that wants one one! I made this one for my probe. It's high grade vinyl so you just stick it on and it'll stay there. I've had mine on for almost two years and it's still perfect. Takes about 15 seconds to put on. All I'd need to know is what you would like it to say and what color vinyl. I have white, black, blue, navy blue, red, and yellow. It'd probably be a couple bucks but I'll let you know.
