Thinking of this for a project car.

I am looking at this for a project car and will offer 1500. What do you think. Has anyone had any experience? Let me know.

You do realize that's on the other side of the country, right? If you have 2 grand laying around, you should be able to find a beat up TII.. . You said you wanted a Project, right? 2000 should get you a pretty bloody good condition NA S4 Rx7, S5s normally go a few hundred higher. I don't think a $2000 NA will be a project car, unless you want a really good shell to start a turbo project or something.

I'd look for something less than 18 states away

Yes, that is a nice car, but I'm sure you can find one in the same shape, cheaper, and closer though.

Ah, and since I see that you have 2 posts, I'll welcome you to the forum. . Sorry I missed that the first time a great source to find Rx-7s is the "For sale section" on the front page of this forum (scroll to nearly the bottom). Look under Classifieds>Rx7s>For Sale. you should be able to get something good there, and you can check the persons' rep and I've found you're likely to get a much better car (or at least a much more accurate assessment of the car) from an enthusiast, like you'll find on this forum.

Our 85 GS is off of the forum, and it was exactly as described, the guy was awesome, and everything went as perfect as buying a 500 dollar project car could
