thinking of moving on from an 87 to a 91 need info
found a nicer 91 rx7 N/A but I am not up to par with the problems with those years vs the later S4 year cars so wondering if you guys could help out
with the 91 I know there was no official lsd for the N/A but have heard some had some didn't any way to verify? as far as the options it does seem to have the 1package option with the rear spoiler, cruise, tilt wheel, 4 pot front brakes and so forth.
windshield wipers when used high and low work fine. int doesn't. also when used on high or low they will return to bottom but then after a second flip back up about half way. relay fix or something else you think?
front end seemed to be damaged at one point being the nose was replaced. dealer even admited to that but said it was just cracked. I do notice 3 small dings. 2 of them on the front fenders right behind the nose and then one on the rear left panal behing the wheel but in front of the bumper. they don't look major just a little ding and one of them has a little scuff but not much else.
motor seems to run ok. no real hesitation or bogs but I do notice when the a/c was on the idle did get a little bouncy at that point. could that just be a TPS or IAC issue or something else would you think?
also the rear wiper doesn't move but I assume that is relay or just wiring issue. not that big of a deal as my car doesn't have one either.
with this car anything else I should look for before I take the dive and try to buy it? though wish I could tlak him down. he is asking 3500 for it and it doesn't seem right. little too high I would say. even more so with the paint being a litle missmatched from the new nose, some paint chips (not many just a few stray ones) plus the minor body damage

Pretty much everything you've mentioned are also issues with S4s. The easiest way to tell if you have an LSD is to lift the rear end of the car and spin a wheel.
The wipers are most probably the relay. Both my FCs have had weird wipers, f&r.
The idle could be a number of things...most likely the barely-par alternator. Does the new car have an aftermarket system in it? if so, I'll bet that's the reaso for the low idle when the A/C is on.
3500 iseems a little high, especially if it need body work. If I were you, I'd shop around a little. I got my 91 from the original owner, with 98,000 on it, for 3k.

I'm in idaho not a whole lot here. I've tried searching but most the ones I find are the S4 cars and I don't want tobe in that boat. I want an upgrade. well unless it was a s4 t2 I could handle that

only one other time I can remember a s5 commin up and it was in mint shape other then one golfball sized ding in the driver door and it was asking for 7k 3years ago. well that is at least the cars I have looked for. the S5 cars just do not show up around here.
and the nice thing is it is the coloring and everything I'm looking for. red with black interior. only other car I would want is black with same color interior. what can I say I'm picky
