Thinking about getting 2 step

Thinking about getting 2step or anti lag for my turbo 2, just wanting to know what is the best to get and how exactly do you install it
Which one makes it pop and shoot flames, 2 step or anti lag, heard they were different

I bought the bee r rev limiter. There's writeups here on install, sometimes works sometimes doesn't. Cheapest way to go if you just want to shoot fire and flat foot shift. Never got mine to work right. Maybe just a faulty box.

I just installed an MSD 6AL-2 and it is stupid easy power gains for the money and time. It takes 15 minutes to mount and wire and I spent about another 15 minutes making it look pretty.

There is a blue wire coming from it for the 2 step rev limiter that just needs 12v to activate. You just choose how you want to activate it.

The key to making this work is that you have to shut down the trailing coil too. The easiest way to do this is to activate a relay that cuts ignition to the trailing coil when the blue wire is activated.

Not trying to argue, but what "power gains" would you gain from this?

I always thought bee r was a good one because I have heard of it a lot, what you mean it works sometimes, like you go to use it and it doesn't do anything?

What I meant was that I've seen mixed reviews of it working on an s4. Mine did not work I bumped a thread awhile ago asking about correct wiring. Like I said, I may have just gotten a bad box. Was going to throw it in my wrx just to test but instead just having my tuner add the 2 step. Just search bee r rx7 on goggle and it should come up.

I'm curious about this too, assuming that op doesn't have an aftermarket ecu or tune setup? Other then a downpipe my S4 t2 is stock. Would 2-step be a good idea for my car right now?

None from the the 2 step rev limiter. In fact, I don't even have the 2 step rev limiter wire hooked up right now, as I don't really need it. The "gains" I mentioned are from just having upgraded ignition.

I plan on hooking it all up just for laughs at work, but my car doesn't need the 2 step system, it just comes with the MSD box.

Ignition cut at 3,000 for laughs isn't going to hurt the motor like some fools who rev past redline with no load just asking for an apex seal to come loose.
