I used to own an S5 GTU but ended up selling it because it wasn't practical enough for me. I'm considering buying an FC again as a second car. Primary purpose: Track car.

I know the GTUs is the prime choice for a track car, but they are way too hard to find and usually they're too expensive.

I love the concept of the GTUs though, and I'm thinking I can acheive something similar with minimal conversion work.

My primary constraints are:

Lightweight.
No sunroof.
No AC.
Minimal electronic gizmos (power windows, etc)
5 speed.
LSD (would love to have the 4.25 rear gear).
Manual steering.
Dual piston brakes.

These are all things that the GTUs has. Is there an FC that has most of those features that would make a good starting point?

I'm thinking the 87 sport or 88 GTU might fit the bill. Those lacked LSDs. Did they have the bigger brakes?

its lightwieght got dual piston brakes and its even more lightwieght cause theres no engine, and the ac can just be thrown off along with PS if you wanted its a 5 spd, im not sure if it had LSD or not
