Thinking about the 13b-re swap

i've been thinking about this swap a lot recently since its not too expensive and mounts are available. I've been reading alot about it but i still have some questions. If anyone cant point me towards some good information on this i'd appreceiate.

Is it possible to run this with an n/a FC ecu, or will a standalone be necessary? also, is it possible to upgrade both turbos and keep it twin turbo, or is going single turbo the best option? also, if i go single turbo, is there any real advantage over a t2 engine? how hard is it to find rebuild parts and other parts for this motor? all answers and help are appreciated!

Standalone

Either or. You'd probably yeild more HP and better results with a nice big single turbo though.

I do not believe the twins will fit, but I personally have not done that swap into a FC

No.
I would be surprised if it does work at all.

or will a standalone be necessary?
It is highly recommended.

also, is it possible to upgrade both turbos and keep it twin turbo, or is going single turbo the best option?
You can upgrade the twins, but it's more advantageous to run a big single.

No.

It can use almost all the 13BT / 13B-REW parts from U.S.-spec models.

thanks a lot RETed, your website (which is amazingly detailed and helpful) and your answers have helped me a lot. I think i'm just gonna stick with a t2 engine.
