tHINK I FOUND THE OIL PROBLEM TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK

i looked in the motor this morning when i finally had enough light to see what the heck i was doing and i noticed that all the oil coming out of the engine is coming from these two little bolts on the front of the engine , one of the bolts is showing the threads like for a 1/4 of an inch should i tighten this up, do you think that is the only problem and does this happen naturally over time, in other words should i check this every time i get the oil changed?

slowly learning,

First off... BE VERY CAREFUL! DO NOT TOUCH THOSE PLASTIC LINES! They are very very brittle and can snap if you breath on them. They are for your oil injection. You can tighten those loose bolts. They should be 10mm. Be careful not to snap them. How big of an oil leak were you having? There isnt much pressure at all in there. Anyways they should be loose and shouldnt come loose so just tighten them.

well it would leak to a little puddle of about 6 inches in diameter and i did what you told me to and i also cleaned it up a little everything seems to be working ok, what i found was that three of the banjo bolts were finger loose so i tightened them up a bit and then put everything back together so we will see if that fixed the problem...
one other question my shifter pole on my manual tranny gets really warm when driving a while is that common, i can take the center peice out and touch the plastic and i cant even hold my hand there that long, my friend said it might be that the tranny doesnt have enough grease in it if thats true what should i do ?

All the shifters of the FCs I have driven get pretty hot. Your rubber insulation bushings are probably gone. Tranny doesnt use grease, it only has tranny fluid. The shifter assembly on the otherhand may have a little grease in there. Look it up in the FSM.

Make sure ytou have the 4 copper crush washers on the OMP lines amd the 4 holed copper washer behind the lines as well as it will leak without them.
Careful if you try to tighten the oil pan as well as it will crack and distort if you try and crank it down hard. You can snug the bolts up a bit if they are loose by going opposite side side bolt tightening, but be careful. Usually if the pan is leaking you need to reseal it (new gasket and/or RTV) though.

There are the 4 copper crush washers and also that X shaped copper gasket for those for oil injection lines.

Personally, I think that you should move the lines around, cause if they do ******* snap off becuase you were breathing on them, you ow it to your cars life to replace them anyways. If they don't, then its all good. My lines were fine, they were molded to the engine, but I could yank on them and nothing happened.

I think the only way the lines get like that is if your engine has overheated or something.
