Things to do while engine is out?

Hi all, just pulled my stock s4 88 t2 engine out of my project car. Looking for any ideas of things I should do while the engines out.

So far I got
1. remove rats nest
2. replace vacuum / coolant hoses
3. replace gaskets
4. take off air pump / install block off plates
5. clean / paint engine
6. run some carb cleaner through it manually
7. any more ideas?

New motor mounts wouldn't hurt.

New clutch (if it has any issues), throwout bearing, pilot bearing (just do them... it's not worth the trouble to use the old ones). And make sure the flywheel's friction surface isn't glazed or anything.

Clean the hell out of the engine bay, and paint it if necessary.

Also, pull the oil pan and replace the gaskets/sealant to prevent any future oil leaks, or to eliminate one potential cause of them. But don't put any oil back into it for 24 hours, to let the silicone dry.

I just did the same recently. I dunno what your budget it, but this is what I did:

New engine mounts
New trans mounts
All new fluids
Front and rear main seals
Clutch and flywheel
t/o bearing
pilot bearing and seal
trans front cover and seal
clutch fork and pivot
new omp lines (custom made)
all new external gaskets and seals
oil pan gasket
removed emissions and installed blockoff plates on everything but omp
paint and clean all parts

some other things but i forget
