Cool in these years are the transmissions compatible

hey my names paul! My 86 transmission broken and i have a 1990-1991 non-turbo transmission and i wanted to know if i could put that to replace the old 86 engine... so to make it short i need to know if the 90 transmission gtu non-turbo is compatible with the 86 engine non-turbo base model. if you could please get back to me i would greatly appreciate it thanx you!

you need to use the mounting bracket off of the 86 tranny. i just did the same thing, 90 tranny into my 86 car.

im about to do that with my 87na and an 89 Trans might be a good idea to also replace the clutch and have the flywheel turned aswell.
