Are these needed???

I have been seeing some motors lately that have not had these wires on them. I am not sure if the pics are of incomplete motors or what. But what are these wires for and are they not needed???

The are needed if you have emmisions. One is for the FPR which you can remove and connect the FPR directly to the intake manifold. The others, if you still have emmisions equipment on your engine, then leave them on.

I would like to remove all my emmisions but have had trouble finding a write up detailed enough to let me do it myself. Does anyone know where to find one?
