Thermowax vacuum connections.

Ok i have recently bought a used s4 throtle body to replace my fully modified TB.

The main reason im doing this is because my modded TB had no thermowax and boy did that annoy the crap out of me.

Anyways. 2 nipples on the thermowax thingy. One hooks up to a valve looking thing on the TB

But i do not know where the other vacuum goes to.

Can anyone tell me?

You don't need to connect them to anything.

Assuming this is an NA, the thermovalve (which is mounted on the thermowax and has the nipples) and the vacuum actuator only there to close the upstream secondary throttles when the engine's cold. This is just to stop idiots romping on a cold engine, but has no effect on idle or drivability. Once the engine's warm they open and stay open.

You can leave the lines off, or even remove the entire double throttle system if you want (actuator, plates, shaft). The thermowax (cold idle control) is a completely separate system and will be unaffected.

See the section on the TB in the FSM Fuel System chapter.
