thermowax removal fast idle cam

ok so i am having a retarted morning. I am not at my house and i am trying to diagnose an idle problem. my buddies car has no thermowax, aws or secondary plates. with this all removed, the fast idle screw has no impact on idle correct?

there are a bunch of screws and the terminology gets confusing, you gotta give us a pic to make sure we know what you're talking about.

i dont have camera but its not the idle set screw, its the fast idle screw that is on the same shaft as the throttle cable hooks to, between the linkage and the TB itself. page 4b 63 in fsm
