thermowax - idle to slow i want it fast!
Ok my car is idling really low still...When i first start it in the morning it runs nicely at about 1000 rpm...But soon as it warms up its at 200 and it stays there for the rest of the day...How do I disable the thermowax from taking it off fast idle?

Is there any reason you are not adjusting the fast idle screw to make the idle stay higher? Is your bac still functional? You've tried adjusting the idle screw on top of the dynamic chamber and it does, what? Are you adjusting the variable resistor? Does it do anything? Are you jumpering the initial set jumper prior to doing the above? I guess the straight answer to the specific question is to block off the water hose to the thermowax. There is on your car, on the forward side of the throttle body, a stop screw. It has a jam nut on it. Its very small. About 1/8th dia and about 1/4 inch long. Look for it. With a 8mm wrench, loosen the jam nut and turn the screw in to hold the throttle open so the idle is higher. Tighten the jam nut. Thats just a work around to set the idle. Not the correct way to set the idle. Should run higher if you do that. There is at http://www.iluvmyrx7.com a free download of the fsm. Go to section 4A. page 4a-77 for setting the idle speed and idle mixture. Piece of cake.
