Thermowax, 5&6 port removal

Ok, here's the deal... I have a '91 n/a FC with 98,000 miles on original engine. It has been sitting for about 8 months now as i have had limited time to work on it throughout the months( have had it turned over every month though w/ a lil lube).... I took it from a basically stock fc that had headers to the following mods... Straight pipe all way out w/ gutted cat in between( i know about the insaaane noise but it's just momentarily), emissions removed, P/S and A/C removed, 5&6 port removed( again also read a ton on this and going to try it out), True cold air intake, 8.5 mm magnecor wires, SAFC2, TB mod, 6 puck Sprung XTD clutch ( also read up on this, going to try out and if Absolutley don't like it, will switch out ) , E-fan from ford escort, engine mounts....
I have a few questions, with the 5&6 sleeves removed, will the engine run lean at all upon initiall start up before i get the safc tuned?? Also, is there any gasket for the Thermowax and does anyone know the size/thread pitch of associated screws?? I lost the screws and will just be running the BAC and thermowax for idle control. Also any Advice and/or Precautions i should take before cranking it for the first time in 8 months would be Greatly Appreciated! Thanks---Logan
..........I am converting the MOP to inject 2-stroke after i get her fired up

Make sure you've got a good battery, and that there's oil in it. And that the coolant isn't frozen if it's been real cold in NC. Check plugs, too... you might as well.

I don't think you will see a lean condition with an untuned SAFCII. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's just plugged in and there are 0% corrections all around, it should be basically running like normal.

I don't think you'll see any kind of lean condition if that's the case. The stock ECU runs the NA rich at idle to keep it stable. From what I've read/experienced, rotaries like a rich idle (along with everywhere else...).

After she's fired up, I would let it warm up for a few minutes.

Good luck, keep us posted.

you can spray some fogging oil or 2-stroke oil into the engine before startup (be warned there will be lots of smoke if you do this).

as for the SAFC2, if the car is running fine it's pretty much impossible for you to run lean at 0% correction.

Thanks everybody for your replies. I thought the safc wouldnt affect anything w/ 0%, thanks for clearing it up. Currently waiting on injectors to come back, i'll keep it updated once they do.

Anyone know if Thermowax uses a gasket and/or what size screws it takes?

Also, anyone in WIlmington NC know how to tune the safc2??
