Go read it for yourself then. S4 (88) FSM page 3-4; S5 (89) FSM page E-4. These are Mazda's specs for how the stock thermostat should perform. If your testing gives different results, it doesn't prove you're right, it means the your 'stat out of spec and should be replaced.
