Thermostat Q's

Its seems that the only thremostat that is around is the stock 195Deg mazda one.. I rather think this is a little hot for the summer and would rather try and find a 170 or 180 one.. any idea where I can find a GOOD one? I picked up a Stant one @ 180Deg today and opted not to install it.. due to the bad reviews on the board.. any idea anyone? thanks!

No No NO... do not use the stant, it is garbage and not designed to work on our motors.

USE ONLY THE OEM MAZDA THERMOSTAT the worng thermostat will only result in over heating or other issues, even when using a thermostat that claims to be a "cooler" temp one.

Haven't you seen the hundreds of threads that say, "solved my overheating" or "solved My cooling" or "the MAZDA thermostat owns" all because they went back to the OEM Mazda thermostat???

I just went to my local Mazda dealer and paid $15. They had it right there in stock.

Any Mazda dealer will have it in stock (or can order it in for next day). It's a thermostat, standard part.
