It ran great for the first week or so, and now for some reason, when i turn the key over, the car starts, but as soon as i release the key from the start position, the engine dies!!!! Any ideas?!!!!! You have a **HUGE** vacuum leak somewhere. Don't let teh capital letters scare you.
Check the TID going to the turbo, brake booster and AFM connector. Check to see if all the clamps after the AFM are on tight. If it's a small leak, it'll just idle wierd.

AFM. The AFM contains a switch that disconnects the fuel pump if the car is not running (no airflow). If the connector has come loose or this switch is bad, the car will only run when the key in the "start" position where this safety is bypassed.

You can prove this by jumpering the yellow test connector found near the passenger shock tower. With that jumpered, the fuel pump should run anytime the key is on the "ON" position. DO NOT drive like this, fix the problem. In the event of an accident, the fuel pump will still be running, possibly starting a fire.
