thermostat housing hose I need help asap !!!!!

thermostat housing hose I need help asap !!!!!
guys i really need help there is a little hose on the thermostat housing underneath the cap and i dont know where it goes to any help would be appreciated thanks

..Seriously it is a Overflow hose and should go to a Plastic white jug located on the front of the car.(or strut tower location)
What YEAR is your car and can you take a pic and post your engine bay?
Sometimes there are changes done by old owners and that screws stuff up.
Like,does the Rad have a hose going to a jug,but the thermo neck has a nipple and the hose goes nowhere.
Post specifics..
