I'd be replacing That hose.ALSO I would be replacing the Thermostat And the Cap...the Cooling system relies on the Cap to Give, and the Coolant to escape to the Overflow, when it Expands..it looks like Something is happening there,That I honestly Have SEEN before But can't explain..But,a thorough going over of the cooling system should be Done.NOW.

I would do a coolant flush and see if helps clear some blockage. Try replacing the caps if that doesn't help the situation I'm guessing water pump failure.

The hose is collapsing under vacuum which is odd because that's on the discharge side of the water pump. Your cooling system should be under 13psi of pressure.
I'd replace the pressure cap(s) and the hose just for kicks. If it's only that water hose and not the others then I'm more inclined to say it's a weak hose. Then go from there.
If this happens after you drive for a while then let your car cool down, then the vacuum makes more sense. Then I'd say it's either a weak hose or a blockage preventing the cooling system from vacuuming coolant from your coolant reservoir. Remove the line going to your coolant reservoir, blow and/or rinse it out, then put it back. If you find sediment in the line when you blow it out, tisk tisk. Next time use distilled water instead of tap water in your cooling system. If so, I'd change your coolant to be safe (and every 18 months after that), to get out a lot of the sediment. Use 50:50 green ethylene glycol antifreeze:water, of course. Replace your thermostat whenever you change your coolant b/c that's the easiest time to do it. Be sure to use an OEM thermostat (Mazda dealer or www.rx7.com or www.mazdatrix.com or www.racingbeat.com).
