Hi guys,

I installed my thermostat housing and went to go install my cap and the black cap housing and when i tightened everything down, i can see daylight in between the gaps on the black housing. Is this normal ? There is a new o-ring under the black housing as well.

I circled the gaps I'm seeing in orange. I have an 87 NA.

 

May sound crazy but did you remove the old ring AND clean out the groove? If so, then its fine.
