Question Is there a temporary solutuion?

Ok, my 88T2 103k idles at 1100rpms, boost guage is reading 20 Vac, burning fuel and oil like crazy, no compression check yet. Are these symptoms of a need for a rebuild and is there a temp. solution as in mods to help prolong my engines life. Thanks

None of those sypmtoms necessarily prove the engine needs to be rebuilt. You need to get a compression check done for that.

Many things can cause high idle and excessive fuel consumption, and the stock boost gauge is supposed to sit at -20 while idling. High oil consumption is a worry though.

Need more info.
