Is there supposed to be a check valve/restrictor in the presure sensor line?

It's not hard to get a "visual demonstration"- connect a meter to the boost sensor input at the ECU and go for a drive, with and without the restrictor. We'll patiently wait for your test results

You might not notice a difference without the pill, but believe me when I say it is absolutely necessary. I had my car on the dyno at K&D Rotary about 3 weeks ago. During my first couple of runs the A/F numbers were jumping all over the place. The A/F graph looked like a seismic readout from California during the “Big One”.

We were stumped until Dave saw that I had silicone hose going to the pressure sensor. He asked if I replaced the “pill”. I said no, the car never had one…so he found one and installed it. BINGO! My A/F numbers smoothed out. I could not believe that a .01 cent piece of plastic could make that much of a difference. With my A/F numbers smoothed out and steady, I picked up 2 peak RWHP.

Coincidentaly, the "pill is about 1cm by 1mm. Its insanely small. I didn't notice any big change after i installed it, but its supposed to be there, so its there.

dang, i need to get one of those, usually sputters between shifts when i first hit the gas in the next gear. doesn't do it all the time, but when it does it's annoying as F***. or if i'm in gear and moving steady at a low rpm and suddenly hit the gas, it feels like you do a quick tap of the brakes before it takes off.
