I've tuned the TPS sensor on my S4 a couple of times, and am very familiar with the process, but I'm going to help anohter RX7 owner with his S5 and I was just wondering if there's any difference in the procedure.

I always do it at the ECU with the engine running and set it to 1v.

Well, I just dug up the FSM for the S5, and it say Approx .8, so 1v it is. It looks like it still uses the 2G pin on the ECU like the S4s, so I think it should be the same procedure.

Hmm, tweak her to .8, then. By the book...If she runs worse, tweak her towards 1v...Tweak her till she runs & idles good, who knows what kind of range "approximately" meant to the Japanese...Mine runs like **** at .8, lol...
