Theoretical max power for race prepped 13B N/A (specs inside)

I'm looking at getting into the E-Production SCCA class, probably with an FC with a 13B in it.

Now, it's got to be N/A per the class specs, and you can:
  • Street port only
  • Choose between stock EFI or 2-barrel carbeurator with an aftermarket "dual Y" manifold
  • Rotors are unrestricted (any rotor you want, except supposedly no parts from the turbo motor). Is there a company that makes/sells high compression rotors? Can this be done? Or even lighter rotors (like lightweight forged ones or something?)
  • Run the engine to any RPM you want I guess (build it for 10,000 RPM racing? If you can make 140 ft-lbs up there, you're looking at about 265 hp)

I think that gives you an idea... things can be ported in E-Production, including throttle body (up to a certain maximum)

What about RENESIS rotors, do they fit in the old 13B's? I was also thinking about running variable length intake runners somehow if possible. Ideally I'd LOVE to run a telescoping intake setup like on the 787B 4-rotor, but I don't think that'll fit within the rules.

So, I guess I'm asking, if the RENESIS can put out "240 hp" stock, and probably 260-270 slightly modified, why the heck can't another ported N/A 13B do the same?

Mazdatrix (and I believe RB) tried the Renisis rotors and found no real HP increase over using S5 non turbo rotors. There were a couple of threads on this.

It would be a waste of time and money to even try and fit them.

Hello..

Racing beat sells light weight rotors.. but i believe they are a bit pricy.

I recall that someone has swapped renesis rotors into the s4/s5 13b before.. i will have to take a look and see... from what i remember though, no extreme gains were found.. But renesis rotors are cheaper.

what about adding material to the rotor dimple to increase compression? Maybe welding in some extra metal and then grinding it down evenly across all three faces, so that it's running 11.5:1 or 12:1 compression?

Or who the heck sells really high compression rotors?

buy renesis rotors. They are the lightest and highest comp. ones out and are cheaper than new S5 N/a ones. I believe they have to be modified to accept our deeper apex seals though.
