one other thing. Assuming that's the case, is an S-AFC a good (relatively cheap) alternative to a full blown computer?

wel, you have to use an FCD and an S-AFC, and you have to tune the S-AFC. I'm thinking about sending my ECU in to be reprogrammed, no fuel cut off at 8.6 psi, and it will have more power.

 

hmm.. with windows and sunroof closed, the only thing I hear when I mash the throttle at mild rpms is the intake / turbo spool... it's certainly not loud, but its very noticeable. All stock... that means there's something wrong???

won't the S-AFC.. oh.. nevermind.. it won't fool the thing into not cutting fuel under high boost, I get it now.. man I just need to get myself like ten grand, send it out to SDJ Motorsports to have it street ported and rebuilt and reworked and everything, send them a full HKS computer, new injectors, new turbo, new full exhaust (maybe their custom?), new intake, everything..

 

yeah, I just have to... uhm... finish college and get a job :P oh yeah, and win the lottery
