I wish S4 owners would quit jacking up the price of our spare parts.

Don't worry about it. I have S4 and I'm not doing any S5 conversion.

Seriously, I really don't mind the look of my S4 tails... why the hell would you pay $3-400 for something that isn't even custom, when yours is not broke and even if it was, replacement parts are readily availible?

Because a lot of idiots care more about how the car looks than how it works.... Like the moron who lives beside me with a 4 cylinder probe missing all the hubcaps who went out and put a big assed carbon fiber wing on the deck and a tach about the size of my head on the dash... WTF... if that car did 90 MPH top speed before, with that shopping cart handle on the back it now might do 85. And..... why the hell do you need a tach with a shift light in a dogomatic 4-cylinder???

BUT ON THE RELAVENT SUBJECT... I'd like to have s5- tails, but ya know what, if they were 100 bucks i'd still have a problem with it cause its a USED part and doesnt make the car go any faster or make it any more reliable.

I have a spare set of s-4's here that I'm working on changing to circular lights... biggest problem is that custom parts like that can be hard to get through a safety inspection without that SAE emblem on them!

Actually I cruised at 112 (bouncing the govenor) for about 400 miles when I was heading to texas in the middle of the night a few years back. A 93 probe with 256,000 stock miles. Mazda/Ford engine That 112 was with the a/c on and still getting around 30mpg. With the a/c off going the speedlimit, it was nothing to see 40mpg. Those were the days, nothing like the 18mpg my fc sees.

i love the s5 tails, but im not upgrading to those unless i come across a good deal ..

100 bucks isnt that bad for everything needed to put them in, but more than that, and someone is making WAYYY too much money off of me ... and i dont like that

**** no man, S5 tails are nice. But i'm not going to pay over 50 bucks for a used pair of taillights. I think the S4 ones look great with a little bit of tint and they look fine stock if they are shiny.

Because I think they look good...Sort of like a paint job I guess...All depends on the owner.

Part of it is probably because the S4 tail lights look "80s" - the S5 ones look more modern.

It's not a big deal for most people, but if one has a clean S4 with a good paintjob, the tail lights still scream "80s!" Put the newer lights on, and they look like something only a few years old.
