Testing ATS? Resistance?
So, I was wondering how do I test the Air Temp Sensor? My first guess would be that it produces a resistance that corresponds to the temp.
What is the resistance supposed to be with the car off? What about when it is warm?
I know it will vary based on the ambient temp, but is there a general region it should be in?
I am going to test the resistance before I start the car, then after the car is nice and hot. Then I am going to move it to a new spot, probably on the plastic tube somewhere. Then test hot and cold again.
Just to see if it made any difference.
Thanks for any input!
