Testing AFM

I picked up a spare AFM for cheap cause mine is either on its way out the door, or the previous owner didn't set up the cone filter correctly and its giving me problems, either way I was wondering if theres anyway you can test the AFM while its out of the car to see if its working properly

There is a procedure to read it out with a meter in the Factory Service Manual. I started a thread couple of days ago, the info is on there (Think it's titled "time for the gurus").
