test injectors with a DMM. help with readings.

well my long story of a problem can be put simply as my car is going very lean after the staging point. haltech e6k...

swapped n a new pair of 1600s and the problem gradually came back after about 2 days it was the same af before. 18:1 under boost. Thats even after we kept throwing more fuel at it.

so.... i was told to test the told injectors. The first pair of 1600s i mean.
Ok so they still spray a cone shaped even pattern.. so signs of being clogged or anything.

So tested the resistance through the injector.

Both showed 5 ohms. So what does that mean.... i think they are supposed to be 2ohms right?

Will this cause a lean condition? Did the haltech cause this?
Please give any info you have on this.

5 ohms should be fine for low imp. injectors. what makes you sure its the injectors?

Got an aftermarket fuel pump? With your turbo and standalone I'd assume you know you need one, but I just gotta ask to make sure.

yes i have the setup for plenty of fuel.

I even replaced the pump when it first started acting up.... didnt help.

Walbro 255lph hp
New filter
New fuel lines from filter forward.
Aftermarket FPR with boost ref.
680s and 1680s

should be plenty... but i ended up running huge amounts of fuel in the map... and it still goes lean after the 1600s come on.
Now this setup ran fine for 1.5 months. Then one night it just wasent the same. I have been messing with it for about 1.5 months now and im running out if ideas.

well there is the million dollar question....

The fpr that is on the car is a bosch brass looking one. it was new when put in. I have the fpr turned all they way in and the base pressure is 39/40.

This fpr is like a 25-40psi one... So in trouble shooting this problem i swapped out the FPR to a known good amerotive one. When i drove the car there was no change. Still 18:1... so i assumed that the fuel pressure was rising when in boost... BUT.... all it really tested was my fpr.

The fuel pressure could be still acting a fool or something. I have a gauge... under the hood. Im working on rigging it up so i can see it while driving. Its just impossible to do while im having alternator problems now.

Im beyond ready for this problem to go away.
