Tensioner Pulley wobble/movement

Hey I just replaced the bearing on the power steering tensioner pulley on my 89 TII because it was on its way out and noisy...it also had a slight wobble even when the nut was tight. I noticed the wobble while the belt was off and I was about to loosen the nut to remove the pulley and just figured a new bearing would take care of that also. When going back to install the pulley with the new bearing i tightened everything up and the pulley still had play and i was able to rock it from side to side. Is it supposed to sit like this? hope i was descriptive enough.

I just replaced mine and the wobble was fixed, so no wobble it good. Maybe u got the wrong bearing, or the pulley is trash. Another thing make sure you got the washer put on the right place. Its pretty obvious how it goes.

Yea made sure the bearing was correct and the washer was also situated right. The bearing Is also fully and evenly pressed in.

To make sure ..The larger flat side of the washer should be on the actual bracket and the smaller raised side against the pulley..right?

I believe that is correct. I tried it both ways when it was off. When the big flat side was against the pulley it wouldn't spin freely.

Hey if you got AC, just use that pulley to see if that fixes the wobble. I think they are the same. Then you can just buy another for the AC if it works. And this is the bearing part # I used skf 6203-2RSJ/EM single row ball bearing.
