Tension stud coolant leak.

So I have a coolant leak from the bell housing. Removing the inspection plate shows that it’s one of the tension studs. It’s not leaking from the sealing crush washer, but instead between the nut and stud. With a modified wrench and the inspection cover behind the turbo removed I can just barely access the nut. Should I just put some Teflon tape or other thread sealant on it or is there some sort of other way it’s meant to seal? Planning on taking the nut off tomorrow but looking for some insight if anyone has any to offer.
