An option? Really? Back purging is standard when welding SS. No purge means sugaring and sugaring means a crap weld.

Note your 4th pic in post 26. The inside surface at the weld has grayed out meaning your welder put too much heat into the piece and burned out the chromium turning that metal into basically carbon steel. You can also see what looks like sugaring (carbide precipitation) at the weld root.

My welder has been welding for 8 plus yrs, never had one come back cracked. He has made a lot of manifolds for many different cars making well over 1000hp, so i will trust him over people just looking at a pic and trying to speculate. I'm trying to provide the FC community with a good prduct for their car, instead of junk ebay manifolds.

Ah, it does look kinda like not back purged looking into the runners from the turbo flange.

I just repaired/rebuilt/modified a SS exhaust and my wastegate v-band.

On my test welds I noticed granulation on the backside and google searched to find out it was from lack of back purge.

It was super easy and cheap to go to the hardware store and pick up a 1/4" tube union and some 1/4" tube to tee off of the torch for a dedicated back purge line.

Argon is cheap- back purge.

So its a bolt on kit? or is there any other modification that need to be done apart from ECU, and supporting modifications like Fuel pump, injectors, ETC.
