TB Elbow Mod for TII - Smoother Air Flow?

I am not sure if I ever posted these pics after I finished the project or not . Since I don't have the car together who knows if it actually helped. What this plate does it rotates the TB elbow from coming in from the back to coming in from the front. It should provide less bends in the aftermarket IC piping. Well here the pics are....

And

And

I'm honestly not sure if this is going to help or not but got rid of a real annoying bend for me.

That looks pretty cool, I own an NA so I'm probably wrong on this but is there a way to make it point straight forward instead of up like that? Won't you still have a sharp bend right at the TB, just not as drastic?

Keeping the seal the same was the problem. Working with a triangle and having the inner walls stay smooth is a pain. If it was round this would be a hell of alot simpler. So that is the closest I could get to being facing forward. The problem with the stock setup you have almost a 180 degree turn right before the TB this way you have like a 30 degree bend down to match it up. Plate was fairly easy to make too out of thick aluminum plate.

When i did my front mount, I cut off the inlet all together and Jb welded in a 2.25" round pipe facing towards the fender. I think the way you set it up will cause it to hit the oil filler neck. But logic tells me that one less hard bend will always help. BTW yours looks much cleaner than the hacker I made!

Honestly I dont like the way the oil filler neck is sticking out right now anyways. I was looking at a way to change that also. I mean once you take off the TMIC, AC, PS, and everything else for a Haltech why bother having it jutting out like that. It just looks strange when nothing else is around it.
