Tape Deck issues

Hey guys, newbie here. I have an 88 RX7 GXL with the stock sound system. I put a tape into the tape deck, it switched over and now my tape is stuck in the deck. None of the buttons seem responsive on the player. Also, I can't use the radio since it thinks the tape deck is on.

Any idea what could be causing this? Ideally I want to get the tape deck to play the tape, but just getting it out with no damage would be a success at this rate.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Had a couple '89 TII radios, lights dim on both units and tape stuck in another, and wanted to stay original radio/equalizer, had them repaired at a local shop.
Find someone in your area, or give them a call H&R Radio, Warminster, PA.

Does the Aux look out of place or? I'd like to keep it looking stock inside.

I feel the same about looking OEM. The owner of that stereo repair shop I mentioned, informed me the only viable spot for the auxiliary 2.5mm port is in between and slightly below the two *****. It doesn’t get in the way when I’m using the radio.

If I recall it was 175 and shipped back to me really quick. That price included the aux port modification.
