Tanabe vs. Eibach vs. Tein S
Tanabe vs. Eibach vs. Tein S
I just bought a full set of Tockico White (adj) and I need to pick some springs. I'm trying to decide between these three because I can get a full set for all the same price, roughly.
Performance is best, but standard drivability is a concern (I don't want to bust my *** on a road trip too much)
This susp. setup will be matched with front and rear strut bars for an N/A with full exhaust (header back).

I would personally go with Tanabe GF210s for performance, however since they are a linear rate spring, they may not be as comfortable in daily driving. That being said, they are not uncomfortable either. :flamesuit:
Tanabe 210's and tokico blues here. I like it. It's a bit nasty on rough city streets, but then again, so was the stock suspension. If I wasn't on a budget, I would have gone with a more refined setup, but other parts of the car need attention as well. You know how that goes...

I have the Tanabe GF210's on Tokico HP's. It does drop the car A LOT (1.5" or so), and with my Apexi N1 cans, I have some problems clearing big speedbumps or steep driveways. The ride is pretty hard, and over bumpy road it feels like my car's going to fall apart, but there's very little body roll and the overall handling is a lot tighter than before.
Anyway, no... you can't get them. If you get your hands on a brand new set, I'm sure its just old stock someone happened to have laying around.
This past April, I tried to order a set from several vendors & none of them had any on stock. One of them placed an production order w/ Eibach & followed up directly with Eibach to find out the production date, to try & find when I might actually expect to receive them.
I was told by Eibach staff members, that they were no longer going to produce them as demand simply wasnt great enough. Its the reason I went w/ Racing Beat. BTW, I do like the Racing Beat suspension shizzle, jusssst fine!
I have tanabe's on mine, but it doesnt run... I dont know how they are.
I need new shocks, thinking about either the tokico, or getting the megan racing coilovers....
seems about the same price. ~$900 on ebay

Tockicos? 900, I doubt it, unless tockico makes coilovers. Tockico whites shouldn't be much more than $500-550 tops. I think off ebay you can get the whites for ~$500 shipped (I just bought mine slighly used off another member for $270 shipped! Bada Bing!).
Also, Coilovers don't use traditional springs for struts like your tanabes (correct me if I'm wrong).
If you go with those $900 Megans, you'll have to ditch your Tanabes. The Megan coilover setup seems like a pretty decent deal, though. I would buy through rx7.com, though, because the Megan's are around the same price and you'll be getting guaranteed service vs some schmuck on ebay.

Scratch that, here's a full set of Whites for $415 shipped.

Eibachs have been good to me on KYB AGXs. Nice drop, nice ride.
