Well im in the army so i haevnt had a chance to drive it yet...it sits at home with 65,000 miles on it. Dont even know how fast they really are...came from the honda scene. Anyways i want it to be fast so i dont get bored with it real quick... i planned on doing a ls1 swap but thats not for a long time prolly so i want to throw prolly around $3500 into it and at least run around 13 1/4 miles if thats possible.

Go with a turbo engine swap, theres not much you can do to an n/a to get good power without breaking the bank. However it all depends on what your goals are and what you want to do with it.

All this has been covered in many threads before. Searching will help you.

TII Swap is the best way to make power on a budget. TII Drivetrain swap is recommended but not required.

If you have a 91 S5 with 65K miles, Sell it and take the additional $3500 and buy a Turbo II. Even if it is a dead TII it will still cost less to rebuild that motor to run 13's then make your current car run that fast.

$3500 is not near enough for a NA S5 to run 13's without alot Nitrous. In order to run 13's a rebuild will be required with a big port job and a full race exhaust. $3500 will not cover that. At least not if it is done correctly.
