injectors

here are the ones i just got, and i WOULD just read the numbers, but they are all badly melted and illegible. notice in the second pic, there is a needle like thing coming out of the bottom, dunno what that it?

That's a normal part of the fuel injector.
Think of it as a magnetically controlled needle valve...

This is really easy. On-center plugs - Low impedance. Off-center plug, high impedance.

thanks ted. its just that normally there seems to be a smooth plastic-like thing on the bottom. do you NEED this part, or can these injectors just go rite in as-is?

Yes, I believe that part is called a pintle cap.
It does come off, but it's on there pretty tight.

I'd keep it on if possible, but you do not really need it.
I'd keep the primary ones on, as the tips stick pretty close into the airflow.
The secondaries do not, so you don't need them for these.
They are just protection to keep the tips safe in case debris gets blown into the fuel injector (tip).
